Living Plant Management Platform came into service in Shenyang

  On May 3, a field training about living plant information collection carried out in Shenyang Arboretum, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

  Subsidized by CUBG, China Botanical Garden Living Plant Management Platform jointly develops by advantage botanical gardens, like South China Botanical Garden (SCBG), Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG), Shenzhen Fairy Lake Botanical Garden. Until now, this system was tested and debugged in ten botanical gardens including Shenyang Arboretum, the only user throughout northeast China.

  In March, the relevant staff from Shenyang Arboretum investigated the database device and data collection process in SCBG. This system is more inclined to become an all-round management platform combining living plants, transaction and real-time data analysis. According the working plan of CUBG, It will be extensively promoted to use in 30 to 60 botanical gardens.

  This training mainly focused on the interpretation of the core and extend function modules and gave a practical operation in collecting introduction and planting data. The staff will then start to follow this tutorial using Living Plant Management Platform. It is hoped to improve the information-oriented management standards in Shenyang Arboretum, Chinese Academy of Sciences after the using of this platform.
