Guangxi launches pilot program of full coverage of native plant species in South China

16 experts in plant classification and introduction from Guilin Botanical Gardens, gathered together to discuss how to achieve the native plant inventory and protection early May. They were involved in the task of CUBG’s pilot program for of native plant species conservation in South China.

 

Guilin Botanical Garden attached to Guangxi Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Science (GXIB), has developed a heated group of team who could steep in plant classification, introduction and breeding. “Many challenges go alongside the opportunities.” Prof. He Chengxin, Director of GXIB, said. “Our focus is not just to complete this subject, but to lead the program for introducing 10,000 plant species in our garden.”

 

Then, Researcher Wei Yigang went into detail about this subject. It launched a discussion in the concrete methods to carry it out, and the next plan finally has been determined.
